OORT is issuing this public statement regarding the recent decision by the Bitget exchange to delist the OORT/USDT trading pair. We firmly believe this decision is based on performance metrics that were demonstrably constrained by the Bitget platform.

The Tick Size Limitation

Our market-making (MM) team has diligently worked to meet all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) outlined in our listing agreement, including maintaining required spread and order book depth. We assert that we met all contractually specified performance requirements save for the 15-minute rule, a metric rendered unattainable solely by the unaddressed tick size limitations imposed by the exchange.

Path Forward

We feel compelled to address the severity of Bitget’s lack of response over a critical technical issue. Since August, our team repeatedly requested simple technical support, a routine adjustment to the token's decimal precision, only to have these requests ignored until December. It is deeply concerning that a global exchange would permit such a fundamental lapse in internal communication and support, especially when a simple fix could have prevented this entire situation.

The official reason for the delisting, citing this technical bottleneck, is fundamentally at odds with the spirit of our listing agreement. Our contract allows for delisting only if a project fails to rectify a breach after being given a fair opportunity. Bitget’s consistent failure to engage with our technical team effectively denied OORT this right to remedy. We formally protest this unilateral action, which we view as an unjust breach of the partnership and contractual good faith.

This pattern of prolonged ignorance and refusal to communicate creates a negative and potentially dangerous precedent for all listed projects. We call on the community to recognize the gravity of this situation and urge Bitget leadership to immediately address and improve their team’s performance and professional work ethic.

We are deeply committed to protecting OORT community. We valued our relationship with Bitget and were genuinely hopeful for a collaborative solution to what was a straightforward technical request. Our community deserves fair treatment.

OORT’s fundamentals are stronger than ever:

We thank our community for their unwavering support. We are moving forward with full confidence, focusing our resources on markets and technologies that drive real value.
