We’re entering a new phase of stability and maturity for the $OORT token economy. As we approach our upcoming token unlock, we want to provide clarity and confidence to our community and token holders.
This unlock represents the last major scheduled token release. After this, there will be no additional significant unlocks that could contribute to investor-related selling pressure.
The upcoming token unlock marks a turning point in OORT’s token lifecycle. With this final large release, the majority of early investor and contributor allocations will have been distributed.
Importantly, OORT has structured these unlocks to align with the long-term commitment of its backers. There will be no future unlock events of similar magnitude, going forward, only 6 million tokens will unlock each quarter over the next 2.5 years, significantly reducing concerns around future sell pressure from early stakeholders.
Our early investors remain aligned with OORT’s mission, and we have no indication of coordinated selling activity. On the contrary, the Foundation continues to take proactive steps to support the token economy.
