The $OORT buyback and burn for Q1 2025 is now complete!
As part of our commitment to long-term growth and value creation, we allocate up to 30% of our profit for repurchasing $OORT tokens on the open market. These tokens are then permanently removed from circulation by sending them to a blackhole address. This approach is designed to benefit our token holders and enhance the overall health of the token ecosystem.
This time the OORT Foundation has burned a total of 1.3 million $OORT tokens, representing approximately 0.07% of the total 2 billion token supply and about 0.33% of the current circulating supply.
All buybacks were conducted through Gate.io.
In 2024, the OORT Foundation successfully completed four rounds of token burns, totaling 9.076 million $OORT.
To date, a cumulative 10.376 million $OORT tokens have been burned — representing approximately 0.52% of the total 2 billion supply and 2.66% of the current circulating supply.
With an additional 800M $OORT locked for future burns, the max supply will drop from 2B to 1.18B — reinforcing our deflationary model.
As we move into 2025, the OORT Foundation remains firmly committed to its token buyback and burn strategy — a key pillar of our long-term vision. Our ongoing efforts aim to enhance the sustainability, value, and utility of the $OORT ecosystem for all participants.
We will continue to take thoughtful, strategic actions that drive long-term growth and reinforce our dedication to the community.
Stay tuned for more updates as we build a stronger future for $OORT.
