In our latest Town Hall, the OORT team shared updates on DataHub’s growth, new product developments, and our expanding global footprint. With strong momentum and a clear roadmap ahead, OORT continues to strengthen its position as the world’s largest decentralized data collection platform.
DataHub has evolved into a stable, mature product serving hundreds of thousands of users. It remains unmatched in the market, with no direct competitors offering the same scale, flexibility, or global contributor network. As adoption grows, DataHub continues to serve as the backbone of OORT’s decentralized AI infrastructure.
One of the biggest announcements of the Town Hall was Launchpad, a new feature designed to democratize data collection. Launchpad enables anyone, anywhere, to create their own tasks and reward contributors using tokens on the BNB Chain, including their own custom tokens.
It supports three main types of tasks:
With the whitelist removed, Launchpad is now open globally, marking a major step toward a creator-driven marketplace for AI and community-driven data collection.
To support creators and contributors, OORT introduced a new in-app Chat Room, allowing users to discuss tasks, exchange feedback, and build micro-communities directly within DataHub. While performance optimizations are ongoing, the chat feature already strengthens user engagement, which is a critical priority in today’s challenging market environment.
The remainder of the year will focus on improving the DataHub user experience. Recent upgrades, such as a simplified onboarding flow with Google Login, have significantly boosted new user registrations. The team is rolling out continuous UI/UX improvements to make the app faster, smoother, and more intuitive.
Current Metrics:
With upcoming enhancements, OORT aims to double or even triple daily user activity by year-end.
OORT Edge is the backbone of OORT’s decentralized data ecosystem, powering the full lifecycle of AI data — from collection to storage to computation. It combines:
Nearly 2,000 Deimos II devices have been deployed worldwide, forming a global network for scalable data preparation. With hardware operational and open to node hosting, the next phase is embedding advanced data-processing algorithms, including automated cleaning, labeling, quality validation, and modality-specific pre-processing. These developments will enable Deimos II nodes to handle increasingly complex workflows at the edge, advancing decentralized AI infrastructure.
A key strategic update was OORT’s strengthened partnership with the United Nations, supported by a former UN ambassador who has officially joined the team. With both OORT and the UN based in New York, this collaboration opens new pathways for global expansion.
OORT and the UN are planning a series of co-hosted events in 2026, with the first expected in January or February. This partnership aligns with OORT’s top-down expansion strategy in developing regions such as Latin America, Africa, and the MENA region. By engaging government representatives from countries like Nigeria, Kenya, Turkey, and the UAE, OORT aims to accelerate:
The UN provides a global platform to position DataHub as a transformative tool for digital participation and AI inclusion in emerging markets.
Dr. Li was recently invited by Chile’s National Agency for Research and Development to join its National AI Research Review Committee, a role previously offered in Canada and soon complemented by an advisory position in Vietnam. With 19 years in AI, he now supports emerging and mid-sized countries in building research frameworks, evaluating proposals, and shaping national AI strategies. While specific projects cannot be disclosed, Chile’s AI research landscape is rapidly accelerating, highlighting Dr. Li’s leadership and reinforcing OORT’s global connections.
A total of 1.5M $OORT has been permanently removed from circulation, bringing the 2025 total burn to 8.272M $OORT and the cumulative burn to 17.35M $OORT to date. OORT will continue supporting the ecosystem to maintain a healthy and sustainable tokenomics model.
OORT recently hosted DeAICon, the first decentralized AI conference in Latin America, held alongside Devconnect. The event drew over 400 registrations and provided valuable opportunities to connect with potential partners. Max in Argentina will focus on user growth, while Jimmy in San Francisco drives developer community expansion, ensuring the team is well-positioned to accelerate OORT’s growth globally.
As OORT scales product capabilities and international reach, the mission remains the same: bring decentralized AI infrastructure to communities worldwide. With Launchpad live, growing community engagement, and strategic global partnerships, DataHub is entering its next phase of growth, defined by openness, accessibility, and global collaboration.
