Tokenomics Update: Decentralization and Sustainability

We’re extending the vesting period for 200M $OORT tokens allocated to the founding team from 4 years to 6 years to better align with our long-term vision.

Additionally, 400M tokens will be distributed over 5 years for OORT Edge network nodes, and 800M tokens will be locked for 5 years starting September 15, 2024. The smart contract address will be shared soon.

OORT Edge Growth Challenge: Join and Earn

The OORT Edge Growth Challenge starts on September 12, 2024, and will run until March 12, 2025, or until 100,000 new nodes are deployed.

• First 100,000 nodes that stake 500 $OORT will have their $60 license fee waived.
• The first 30,000 nodes will also receive an additional 1,800 $OORT, released over 18 months.
• After 100,000 nodes, miners will need to burn $60 worth of $OORT to obtain a license.
